What Is Office Furniture Liquidation?

Types of Office Desks
Desk choice usually comes down to two things: how much storage each person needs, and how much floor space you can give them. Here's how the main options differ.
Desks with Pedestals
A pedestal is the drawer unit under the work surface. Single pedestal desks put file storage on one side and leave legroom on the other. Double pedestal desks give you storage on both. If your team still keeps paper files at the desk, start here.
Desks Without Storage
A clean surface and nothing underneath. These suit hot desking, hybrid schedules, and anyone working off a laptop with everything in the cloud. They also read as more contemporary, which matters if clients walk through your space.
Desks with a Hutch
A hutch adds shelving and cabinets above the work surface, so you gain storage without giving up floor space. Useful in smaller offices and private rooms where the walls are already spoken for.
Desks with a Credenza or Return
A credenza sits behind or beside the desk and adds a second surface plus closed storage. A return extends the main desk at an angle, giving you room for a monitor or a visitor to sit down. Both are common add-ons in private offices where one surface isn't enough.
Executive Desks
Larger footprints, often built up from a desk plus a credenza, bridge, and return. These go in private offices where the desk itself does some of the talking, and finish matters more here than anywhere else in the building.
L-Shaped Desks
An L-shaped desk gives one person a main work surface plus a return running off it at a right angle. You get room for a second monitor and paperwork without taking up much more floor space than a straight desk. A common choice for managers and anyone who works across two screens.
Height-Adjustable Desks
Sit-stand desks let one person change position through the day. Some raise and lower on demand, others stay fixed at standing height. If you're furnishing a whole floor, it's worth specifying them up front rather than retrofitting a year later.
