Downsizing, Relocating or Closing a Location? Let Us Liquidate Your Furniture Fast

A lease is ending. A team is consolidating into less square footage. A location is closing. Whatever is behind it, there is suddenly a floor full of furniture that has to be somewhere else by a specific date.

For years the default was to pay a moving or junk company by the hour to haul all of it away, which turns a room full of assets into a line on the expense side. At LW Office Furniture Warehouse, we start from a different question. What in that room is still worth something? A good deal of it usually is.

What Does It Mean to Liquidate

Liquidation is what happens when the furniture still holds value. We walk the space, identify what can be resold, and buy those assets from you so they end up back on our showroom floors. You get paid for something you were about to pay someone else to remove.

When It Makes Sense to Liquidate

Most of these calls come from companies moving into a smaller footprint, opening in a new building, closing a location, or handing a lease back to a landlord with a turn-back date attached. The furniture is rarely the main event. It is the thing standing between you and an empty space you can walk away from.

It is not always the space that is changing, either. Larger companies often replace quality seating or workstations every seven to ten years as a matter of policy, and what comes out of those buildings still has real value left in it. Size is rarely the deciding factor. The timing is usually driven by a date on a lease or a move schedule rather than by how much furniture is involved.

What Happens to the Furniture

Anything with resale value comes back to one of our four showrooms and goes through a 10-point inspection, which is how a desk that served one company for six years ends up serving another for the next ten. Whatever cannot be resold is separated out so that recyclable material is recycled and usable pieces can be donated, with only the remainder disposed of.

This is the part we are proudest of. Every desk, chair, file cabinet and workstation that goes back into service is one more kept out of the landfill. Go green, save money.

We have been doing this for more than 35 years, and today we are one of the Midwest's largest furniture liquidators. There is not much we have not walked into by now. The earlier you call, the more room you have to work with. Once a lease deadline is a week out, the decision comes down to whoever can get trucks there in time.

Tell us what you have and where it is, and we will come take a look. If you are replacing what you are clearing out, we can often handle both ends of that in one visit. Get in touch with us today.
